You may track shipments, get rate quotes and obtain other information via our web site from our Customer Service page. This is available 24 hours per day. Any customer can trace shipments, obtain ETA and sailing information, check charges and obtain rate quotes. A complete historical and chronological listing of shipments is available on-screen for registered customers. Advance knowledge of a freight bill is not necessary. This listing can be expanded to show full detail information on any shipment. An image of the Delivery Receipt, with receiver's signature, and the original Bill of Lading can also be immediately viewed. Instant rate quotes are available on-screen. Pickups can also be placed and are instantaneously added to the dispatch system and assigned to a driver. Customer service or proof of delivery information may also be requested by simply sending us an e-mail at custsvc at alohafreight.com. When each ship sails, advance ETA notices are sent by
mail, fax, or e-mail to all receivers. This allows for efficient planning and
scheduling. All receivers are further contacted by a dispatcher when the freight
arrives to schedule a convenient delivery. We utilize a leading-edge computer
dispatch system. Customer service at all locations have immediate information about
pickups or deliveries that are scheduled. Pickups are always ensured of making the next immediate
sailing. We often receive freight from other carriers
originating throughout the mainland. Unfortunately, this freight occasionally
arrives in less than perfect condition. It is our policy to take digital pictures of
this freight. These pictures are available to all our customer service
people. We also e-mail the more serious pictures to the customers involved. By
instantly seeing the freight as it arrived at our facility, cost-effective decisions can
be made. Customers deserve their freight in perfect condition. It is our
experience that merchandise can be repaired at a much less cost at origin, before it has

Freight received in Los Angeles by Tuesday afternoon will sail to Honolulu and Maui on a ship that departs Wednesday morning. Shipments are delivered on Oahu by the following Wednesday and Maui by Thursday. The Wednesday departure is normally direct from Los Angeles. On a rare occasion, this ship's schedule may be cancelled. To expedite the ocean transit, we would use a ship which departs from Oakland. We truck all containers to Oakland for departure from there. There is no additional cost to our customers for this service. Freight received in Los Angeles by Friday afternoon will sail to all Islands on Friday night directly from Los Angeles. This freight is normally delivered on Oahu by the following Friday. The neighbor islands are delivered by the following Tuesday or Wednesday. Here is a service matrix. We can pickup or receive multiple shipments from multiple shippers and perform detailed consolidations, and if required, load the freight in sequence per instructions. We will also perform distribution to multiple consignees of shipper loaded containers. We currently perform consolidations for numerous customers and are very familiar with the unique requirements for this type of service. Our ocean charges are usually based on the
cube or dimensions of the freight. As a customer, you must have those
measurements or the cubic feet before we can give you an estimate. There
are several ways to obtain a rate estimate. You can call our office with
the dimensions, origin, and destination, and we will be glad to give you a
quote. You may also request a quote by filling out the Rate
Form on our Customer Service web page. A rate person will respond back
to you quickly with your quote. Another option is available for registered
customers. Those customers can receive an instantaneous quote on-line from

Our own fleet of trucks, running under the Aloha Express banner, provides our local pickup and delivery service. Aloha Express can also handle distribution service on loads into Southern California as well as consolidating shipments leaving California. In addition to local and regional direct service, we have partnerships throughout the country to handle any pickup, anywhere. Aloha Freight Forwarders is the Hawaiian agent for Old Dominion Freight Line. Old Dominion is one of the largest and fastest growing non-union LTL carriers in the nation. As with Aloha, they continue to place customers' needs first in order to provide the maximum level of flexible, innovative and efficient service. We also have warehousing at an affiliate company in Long Beach with 60,000 square feet of storage available. Storage can be full load or less-than-full load at competitive rates. We can maintain inventories and ledgers for our customers.
Through our affiliate company, Southern Counties Express, we handle over two thousand container and rail moves per week from the Los Angeles/Long Beach Harbors and rail yards. Aloha provides transload service. We will transfer freight to or from over-the-road trailers and ocean containers. Rates have been increasing drastically for most import containers moving inland on through bills of lading. We are offering a cost saving option to shippers. They can terminate their containers in Los Angeles/Long Beach and we transload their goods into intermodal or highway equipment. The economies of this process are actually quite good if you take into consideration the savings of additional charges by the steamship lines and the fact that the shipper can take advantage of the extra cubic feet in 48' or 53' trailers for the inland linehaul. We have the capacity to transload as many as 60 loads per day into outbound equipment. We have the ability to sort, segregate, palletize, shrink wrap, and we have heavy lift capacity of 25,000#. Another affiliate company, Griley Airfreight, performs pickup and delivery via the airports at LAX and ONT to and from Southern California. We consolidate and distribute for many national companies. Equipment is diversified, from panel vans to doubles and 48' vans and flats. Many of the units have roller-bed floors for handling of aircraft containers.
